Horse Haven is located in the beautiful fgvdc area north of San Francisco, with access to trails and seashore. We have 15 years of experience in breeding, showing and teaching kids and adults how to enjoy horses.

Horse Haven has a limited number of spaces available for training horses. Our new barn construction is complete. Call for your space, as they won't last long.

Horse Haven is planning some clinics for the 2000 fall season. Loose your frustrations, learn to start your horse's working careers with a soft hand, love, respect and  understanding. If you would like to participate, please call and sign up. Time and place to be announced soon

TRAINING FEES

COLT TRAINING: $450.00 a month (board included) (minimum of 3 months)
This consists of starting the colt, teaching the basics, and getting some trail experiance under the youngster. We also teach the colt to drive if requested.

 BRUSH-UP TRAINING:  $450.00 a month  (board included)
This consists of fine tuning your horse after a lay-off period, or teaching your horse to canter, or teaching your horse to use their bodies better, or improve the performance of your horse.   Whatever it is that you just need a little help on.

VERSATILITY TRAINING:  $500.00 a month  (board included)
After your horse if started correctly and is gaiting correctly and is ready to learn things such as side-passing, negotiating a trail course and how to maneuver all the obstacles that maybe in the course, teach your horse how to do a western riding pattern, or a reining pattern, barrels, poles, obstacle driving, basic hunter course, side-saddle/astride, or special needs for special circumstances.  We can train your horse to do just about anything within reason and common sense.

SHOW TRAINING:  $500.00 a month  (board included)
This is the basic training for the show ring.  This is started when the horse/colt has finished the basics and is ready to enter the ring.  This also includes one (1) free riding lesson a week to insure showing success.  Both the rider and the horse must be taught to work as one.  For customers who do not want to show their own horses, maybe the free lesson will be an incentive to change their mind.
Owner pays hauling, entry fee, show fee, stall/shavings fee for out of town shows,. 
Hauling and hotel costs are split between how many horses go to the show.   Owner keeps
ribbons and trophies, trainer keeps pay backs/winnings.

Training fees include everything but Vet, Dental, Tack, and Shoeing bills.  The Vet will bill you directly and all other charges will be paid for at the time of service and put onto the next months bill.
